Competing risks for repairable systems: A data study
نویسندگان
چکیده
We analyse a dataset from the Offshore Reliability Data (OREDA) Database, looking for a model, which can be used to unveil aspects of the quality of the maintenance performed. To do so we must investigate the mathematical modelling of maintenance and repair of components that can fail due to a variety of failure mechanisms. NOTE! UNTIL WE GET A “GO” FROM THE OREDA PROJECT THE DATA IN Table 1 SHOULD BE TREATED AS CONFIDENTIAL. FINAL ACCEPTANCE FROM OREDA IS EXPECTED IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Analysis of reliability and maintainability for multiple repairable units (Case study: Sungun copper mine)
The appropriate operating of mining machines is affected by both the executive and environmental factors. Considering the effects and the related risks lead to a better understanding of the failures of such machines. This leads to a proper prediction of the reliability parameters of such machines. In this research work, the reliability and maintainability analysis of the loading and haulage mac...

Consider a unit which can experience any one of k competing failure types, and suppose that for each unit we observe the time to failure, T , and the type of failure, C ∈ {1, 2, . . . , k}. The case of observing the pair (T, C) is termed “competing risks” in the statistical literature. After considering some examples we review basic notation and theory of competing risks. In particular we consi...
متن کاملComparison of Random Survival Forests for Competing Risks and Regression Models in Determining Mortality Risk Factors in Breast Cancer Patients in Mahdieh Center, Hamedan, Iran
Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women worldwide. Patients with cancer may die due to disease progression or other types of events. These different event types are called competing risks. This study aimed to determine the factors affecting the survival of patients with breast cancer using three different approaches: cause-specific hazards regression, subdistri...

متن کاملImperfect Maintenance in a Generalized Competing Risks Framework
In this paperwe present a general framework for themodelling of the process of corrective and condition-based preventive maintenance actions for complex repairable systems. A new class of models is proposed, the generalized virtual age models. On the one hand, these models generalize Kijima’s virtual age models to the case where both preventive and corrective maintenances are present. On the ot...
